Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a Nutrition Consultant and a Registered Dietitian?
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a food and nutrition expert who has completed specific academic and professional requirements, including an accredited internship and a national examination. As a certified nutrition consultant with a master-level certification from the AFPA and a holistic wellness practitioner with the AADP, my expertise is focused on a holistic, lifestyle-based approach to nutrition and wellness, which is a different training and credentialing path.
Are consultations available virtually?
Yes, virtual consulting services are offered. This provides the convenience of receiving expert nutritional guidance from the comfort of your own home, regardless of your location. Of course, if you are local to Jacksonville, we can arrange in-person meetings too.
What types of nutritional goals can you help me with?
We can assist with a wide range of goals, including weight management, increasing energy levels, managing food cravings, improving athletic performance, and developing a balanced, sustainable approach to eating that fits your lifestyle.
Do you accept insurance?
General wellness nutrition advice is not eligible for direct insurance coverage. However, if you have a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from a healthcare professional to verify the need for the counseling to treat some diagnosed conditions, it may be reimbursable from an HSA account.
